Yume ni Aruku (series)
- "Nolite mundum alterum timere, quod nobis scientiam novam dabit." ("Fear not the other world, for it will give us new knowledge.")
Yume ni Aruku (夢に歩く) is a four-part series set in a universe similar to that of the Innocence Seekers universe. The first three parts of the series follow three different groups of girls as they wander into a world named Kariuba, which, thousands of years ago, isolated itself from Earth and the rest of the galaxy as a result of a war.
Synopsis
Thousands of years ago, a massive war was fought between the people of Earth and the people of Kariuba. No one knows what caused this war, however, what is known is that almost all civilisations on Earth were destroyed in the war. One of the last surviving civilisations attempted to save what they can, building a great underground archive in present-day Japan to inform future civilisations of their knowledge of magic.
Thousands of years have passed since then. In that time, countless new civilisations have appeared and disappeared, however, none have found the archive. Not only that, but Kariuba's existence faded into myth and legend and was eventually forgotten by the people of Earth. However, Kariuba has not forgotten about Earth, and every now and then placed Portal Monoliths in various locations around Earth in an attempt to begin some sort of communication with the planet of their old enemies. However, no one has paid attention to these strange rock formations, until now.
December 2009. Tokyo, Japan. Once again, the people of Kariuba have placed Portal Monoliths on Earth. This time, they have placed three relatively close together within Tokyo. And it is these three which have drawn the attention of someone on Earth. Three groups of girls, all who attend the nearby Mimori Elementary School, noticed the Portal Monoliths and investigated each one. It was then that a voice called out to them, to tell them to travel to Kariuba via the Portal Monoliths.

Characters
Relationship to Innocence Seekers
- While the two series are set in different universes, they are considered to be part of the same multiverse, as parallel universes. This can be seen in the many similarities between the two universes, such as the magic system.
- Portal Monoliths exist in both settings, however, the ones in Innocence Seekers have the unfortunate tendency to spawn monsters. The ones in Yume ni Aruku are perfectly safe (unless one leads to a place several hundred metres in the air).
- Characters in Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose may occasionally reference events in Yume ni Aruku.
