Michiru Kurosawa (黒沢 みちる) is a character who appears in Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose. She first appears in Innocence Seekers: The Dark Angel Part 2, where she is introduced as Misato's younger sister. She is part of the main cast in Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light and is a supporting character in Innocence Seekers: Mimori Flower Club.

When she was younger, she was quite shy, never being able to bring herself to speak to people. This made her a target of Yayoi's bullying. However, after Akari befriended the two, Michiru became more confident around other people. While she is still reserved and soft-spoken, she no longer tries to avoid conversations.

As a mage, Michiru is an ice and darkness elemental magic user whose primary weapon is a staff which can morph into a spear. Michiru prefers to stay back and cast long-range spells, but if need be, she can use her weapon to deal a single massive blow (accompanied by an explosion) to her enemy. Her Inherent Ability is Clairvoyance (透視 tōshi), which allows her to sense the location of anyone or anything within ten kilometres of her without fail, even if they are hidden or otherwise undetectable. This ability also grants her attacks the ability to attack hidden targets, bypassing anything which would otherwise hide them (although the target can still evade such attacks, or block them if barriers and shields are erected within two metres of the target).

Backstory

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

Michiru's parents died when she was very young, so for most of her childhood, she and her older sister were looked after by Akari's mother. However, this did not mean she met Akari before entering school, as she often hid herself whenever Akari went over. After entering school, she quickly became a target of Yayoi's bullying, with Yayoi often teasing her or throwing things at her. Eventually Akari entered and intervened, getting into a fight with Yayoi. Upon seeing this, Michiru shouted at the two girls to stop fighting, startling Yayoi, who had never heard Michiru raise her voice at anyone before. After this incident, the three became friends and Akari introduced Michiru to Hiyori.

Michiru's friendship with Yayoi developed further when Yayoi's parents died. Misato invited Yayoi to stay at the Kurosawa residence, as Yayoi, being quite young, could not live alone. Yayoi accepted, and began living with Michiru.
