For this blog post, I will be giving some details on the chronologically final entry of Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose. This entry will be titled Innocence Seekers: The Flower Bud of the Blue Sky, and it will follow five girls. Currently, it is in the planning stages, but I have some very rough ideas concerning the characters and plot. A word of warning, though: there are unmarked spoilers ahead, even though I’ve tried to keep it to a minimum.
Being the chronologically final entry, this entry will serve as the definite conclusion to all unconcluded story arcs in Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose. The story begins in June 2025, when You-Know-Who’s demonic empire begins to invade East Asia, launching simultaneous attacks on China, Japan and Korea. Due to the grave situation, the girls are quickly taken out of school and brought under the protection of the Zodiac Warriors, under whom they realise that they may be the only ones able to stop the empire.
So far, I’ve only conceived of the main cast. They are:
- Saki Yashima (八嶋 咲) – Magic colour: Pink, Element: Light
- Miu Kurosawa (黒沢 美雨) – Magic colour: Blue, Element: Water
- Ui Aihara (相原 うい) – Magic colour: Yellow, Element: Earth
- Hinako Higashinomiya (東ノ宮 ひな子) – Magic colour: Red, Element: Fire
- Hazuki Miyana (宮奈 葉月) – Magic colour: Green, Element: Wind
Saki is the main character of the story. A generally kind girl, Saki acts as the leader of the group, and holds the group together with her personality and leadership. She is the sole daughter of Aika (a character I’ve yet to introduce in April Light, but is a main character of Innocence Seekers: Dimensional Crossing and is around the same age as Sumire).
Miu is Saki’s best friend. She is generally shy and has a height complex (she is the tallest of the five girls), but those close to her know that she sometimes takes things too seriously. She is Misato’s daughter.
Ui is a girl Saki met in the second grade. She is rather outgoing, and at times whimsical, but she generally keeps the group motivated by her optimism. One quirky aspect of her is that whenever she is bored, she sometimes taps on objects rhythmically with sticks (even occasionally using the other girls’ heads as if they were drums), a quirk not helped by the fact that she does play drums. At the moment, I’m undecided on her familial relations.
Hinako is a new transfer student who entered Mimori Elementary School a week before the beginning of the story. Although a bit lazy and easily distracted, when she puts her mind to a task, she shows a capability unbefitting her personality. She is related to Akari, Inori and Benio (although I haven’t decided on their exact relationship with Hinako).
Hazuki is a friend of Miu, who stayed behind in Namari as Miu headed to Japan. She is noted to be serious (sometimes even more so than Miu), but has a sweet tooth and a soft spot for cute things, and admires Saki for being able to become friends with Miu. She is Mutsuki’s daughter.
I will post more information in a later post.
