Over the next few weeks, I will be posting bios for the characters of Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light, an entry of Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose. I have already posted the bios of the main characters; this will be the first of the other playable characters.
Mirai Aooka (青岡 未来)

Mirai is a character in Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light. She was born and raised in Japan, and later moved to Namari. She is quite shy, and has some difficulty starting conversations or even asking for help.
Mirai is the only daughter of Mikako Aooka, who fought alongside Akari’s mother Akane when they were younger. Mikako originally raised Mirai to be an ordinary girl, to keep her away from the dangers of being a magical girl. However, the events of Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light drew Mirai into fighting as a magical girl.
Mirai’s Inherent Ability is Overwhelming Blow, which gives all of her attacks a miniscule chance of dealing far more damage than would normally be done, as long as the target is not fully human. While this is ineffective against ordinary mages or magical girls, the ability means that she has the capability to defeat even the most powerful demons and witches with one attack, if she is lucky. In gameplay, this manifests as an even more powerful version of a critical hit. Normally, for a critical hit, the attacker’s attacking stat is multiplied by three in the damage formula. If this ability activates, it will result in said stat being multiplied by 15, as well as reducing the target’s DEF/RES to 1 in the damage calculation. While a normal critical hit has a 6.25% chance of occurring, Overwhelming Blow only has a 0.25% chance of activating.

P.P.S. I had a look at the cover of the June 2016 issue of Manga Time Kirara MAX. I have to admit, Kaosu is so cute on the cover (if you’re wondering, “Kaosu” is the pen name of Kaoruko Moeta, the main character of Kaori Hanzawa’s Comic Girls).
P.P.P.S. Is there something odd about the name “Teru”? (If you’re wondering why I asked this, watch the second episode of Three Leaves, Three Colors. Not to mention, one of my projects also has a character named “Teru”.)
